No More Sarah Palin for Tina Fey
Source: www.celebritysmackblog.com
Tina Fey says she is through playing Sarah Palin now that the election is over.
Fey’s Palin character helped Saturday Night Live’s ratings skyrocket this season with viewership up a whopping 70%. Ratings for Fey’s show, 30 Rock, also rose 20%.
She names her television show as the main reason she will not continue with the Palin impersonation. “I have to retire just because I have to do my day job.”
Her spot-on impression of Palin was so good that we can’t imagine anyone else even attempting it. But when asked who she would likely pass the torch to, she replied,
“I think [Kristen] Wiig would do a really good job. Maybe we could get a real torch. Or I could give Wiig the Palin wig.”

Watch Saturday Night Live: Bronx Beat on Fanpop
Sorry, kids, no Tina Fey as Sarah Palin this weekend, but rumors are suggesting another former SNL hottie might be making a surprise appearance.
Maya Rudolph, who left the show last November, is set to play Barack Obama’s wife, Michelle. Word is, she and Amy Poehler will do a ‘Bronx Beat’ skit, like the one above.
Yay! I love, love, love Maya! She is truly one of SNL’s great women, and is totally underrated!

Sarah Palin on SNL

If you’re one of the three people who missed SNL this weeked, here are the clips of Sarah Palin’s guest appearances on the show.
Saturday Night Live scored its highest ratings in 14 years, it’s highest since Nancy Kerrigan hosted the show in 1994.
I still cannot get over Tina Fey’s dead on impression of Palin. She not only looks a helluva lot like her, she’s nailed the accent!
Mark Wahlberg is Still Not Over Andy Samberg’s Impression of Him

This is hysterical!
Mark Wahlberg went off on Jimmy Kimmel last night about Andy Samberg’s recent impression of him on SNL.
Kimmel shows a clip of the show then asks Wahlberg what he thinks.
His response is priceless..

Celebrity Quote of the Day - Mark Wahlberg
Source: www.celebritysmackblog.com
“Someone showed it to me on YouTube. It wasn’t like Tina Fey doing Sarah Palin, that’s for sure. And “Saturday Night Live” hasn’t been funny for a long time.
They’ve asked me to do the show a ton of times. I used to watch it when Eddie Murphy was there and Joe Piscopo and Bill Murray. I don’t even know who’s on the show now.”
- Mark Wahlberg was not impressed with the SNL skit in which Andy Samberg impersonated him.

Andy Samberg Does Mark Wahlberg Better Than Mark Wahlberg
Source: www.celebritysmackblog.com
Ok. Saturday Night Live might not be as great as it was at one time or another, but despite it’s downfalls, it always manages to uncover amazing fresh talent.
Andy Samberg is one of the brightest, most gifted comedians the show has seen in recent days. Of course I don’t want to take away from the many SNL greats of our time, but as far as young talent goes, this guy is an oyster with a myriads of pearls.
I’m a little late in posting this, but only because it slipped my mind - not because I forgot.
In this SNL skit, Andy channels Mark Wahlberg, in Barky Bark and the Donkey Bunch, a parody of the Funky Bunch frontman. And although Samberg looks nothing like Wahlberg, and the skit is totally weak, Samberg nails Wahlberg’s voice so well that if we only had the soundtrack, would be convinced we were listening to the actor himself.
That’s the beauty of Samberg. He can take a worthless skit and make it his.
So without further adieu, here is most definitely the best impression of Marky Mark that you will ever hear. I mean, who knew it was even possible to impersonate Mark Wahlberg?
Bravo!
