Burt Reynolds in Rehab

burt-reynolds-plastic-surgery

Burt Reynolds has entered a rehab treatment center for prescription drugs.

His manager stated:

“After a recent back surgery, Mr. Reynolds felt like he was going through hell and after a while, realized he was a prisoner of prescription pain pills. He checked himself into rehab in order to regain control of his life. Mr. Reynolds hopes his story will help others in a similar situation. He hopes they will not try to solve the problem by themselves, but realize that sometimes it is too tough to do on their own and they should seek help, as he did.”

Damn, Burt is 73 already. With all that plastic surgery I tend to forget. He doesn’t look like a typical 73-year-old, but then again, when you have had that much surgery it’s hard to gauge your age at all. If I didn’t know him, I probably couldn’t tell if Burt was 53 or 73. Honestly. I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s how his prescription drug habit started. He’s had an awful lot of surgery..

Michael Beasley Tattoos PICTURES PHOTOS

michael beasley tattoo

Michael Beasley’s tattoos were just one of the many warning signs that something was not right with him.

The Miami Heat star took to his Twitter (@GorillaBeas) in recent days leaving messages about unhappy he has been.

“Feelin like it’s not worth livin!!!!!!!”

“I Feel like the whole world is against me I can’t win for losin.”

The tweets have since been deleted, but one thing that is lingering is the photo of Beasley’s new tattoos that are sprawled across his back. Yes, he is “Super Cool.”

But it also appears that Beasley forgot to make sure no drug baggies made it into the pic. The lower right corner shows what are possibly drug paraphernalia bags.

And yeah, he entered rehab this morning. He is reportedly being treated for depression and drug problems at a Houton rehabilitation center.

Melanie Griffith Checks into Rehab

Source: www.celebritysmackblog.com

melanie-griffith-rehab

Melanie Griffith is currently in rehab

Melanie Griffith, 52, has checked into a rehab center for treatment of a drug addiction.

Her publicist, Robin Baum, confirmed reports that Griffith is seeking treatment at the Cirque Lodge in Utah, a popular rehab center for the rich and famous.

Baum eluded to the fact that this stint (one of many over the years for Melanie) is part of an ongoing treatment plan by her doctors. However, I find it odd that checking into a rehab clinic would be part of a “maintenance plan”, so I call B.S.

She says: “She is there to reinforce her commitment to stay healthy. This is part of a routine plan that was designed between her and her doctors years ago.”

Of course she is going to say that. That is her job, damage control. Not that I blame Melanie for wanting us to think that she is simply going in for her 60,000 mile overhaul. She’s probably embarrassed by her addiction being so out in the open.

Nine years ago Griffith admitted to having a prescription drug problem, she says that stemmed from a neck injury. Funny how everyone says their drug problem is “prescription drugs”, ALWAYS caused by some sort of ghost injury. 75% of Hollywood are raging blow whores but you never hear anyone say they are going to rehab for cocaine. And no, I’m not hinting that Melanie is a cokehead (even though I am pretty sure she did her fair share back in the day) I’m just sayin’…

Painkillers and muscle relaxers are served in candy dishes among Tinseltown’s elite. And everyone has a doctor they know will write them a script. So it’s really no surprise that so many people (like Anna Nicole Smith) get hooked on them.

I do wish Mel the best and hope she kicks her habit…whatever it may be.

VH1s ‘Celebrity Rehab’ Beauty Opens Up About Drug Use

Source: www.celebritysmackblog.com

The gorgeous Amber Smith, who you might know from the Wonderbra campaign, Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issues from the 90s, or more recently ‘VH1s Celebrity Rehab,’ is coming clean about her addictions in a new interview.

In the latest issue of Steppin’ Out magazine, Smith tells Chaunce Hayden about trading sex for drugs, past overdoses and why she was recently fired from her modeling agency.

OVERDOSES:

I was terrified when Heath Ledger OD’d. I’ve OD’d like that twice in my life. I’ve also woken up with my arms and legs straight up in the air in a fetal position like you were in your mother’s womb. Your body gets like that from depressed breathing. You’re not getting enough oxygen from the opiates. I’ve woken up with my mouth and fingertips blue. But luckily I’ve woken up. Why me? Why did I wake up? Why didn’t Heath wake up? My only answer is that I’ve been an addict for so many years that my tolerance is very high.

TRADING SEX FOR DRUGS:

The show will tell that side of my story in the coming weeks. I’m not really supposed to talk about that yet. But I’ll answer your question. Yes, anything went when it came to getting drugs. And yes, I lost a lot of respect for myself and did things that I never thought I would do. I just can’t believe it’s me. I have an easier time talking about the drug addiction then I do about the sex stuff and I don’t know why. I admire Maureen for coming out about the sex side of her story. People were actually calling her “Hoover” after the vacuum. How embarrassing! This beautiful woman with this gorgeous sweet face was being called Hoover. How degrading. I admire her for coming out and talking about it.

ON GETTING FIRED FROM HER MODELING AGENCY:

Well I just got released by my modeling agency (Smith refused to name the agency) after they found out I was on the show. I couldn’t believe it. Here I am trying to get help. It’s not like I’m out there screaming how much I love drugs and that I’m a big addict. What I did is very hard to do and you would think they would be a lot more supportive. But they ended up releasing me. I got a “You’re released” text on my cell phone while I was in rehab. But if I have to throw myself under the bus to get people to wake up about drugs, so be it.

ON HER SPIN-OFF VH1 SERIES:

I’m not supposed to talk about but I’ll be on a new show on VH1 called “Sober House.” It’s all about sober living and how to adjust to the real world after rehab.

Blake Fielder-Civil Out of Jail and Into Rehab

Source: www.celebritysmackblog.com

Amy Winehouse’s hubby was released from jail earlier today after serving 12 months behind bars.

But Blake Incarcerated didn’t go home to his wife, he headed straight for rehab, as part of his release agreement. In fact, Amy didn’t even greet her husband, she opted to stay home instead.

Daily Mail reports that Blake had a chipped tooth (aren’t they all chipped/rotted?) and fresh red scratches down his arms, but was all smiles.

Meanwhile, paparazzi took these lovely photos of Amy, and it makes me wonder if they have a stick and poke her with it like a wild animal.

She always looks like they are taunting her, just to get a shot. Then they call her crazy because she reacts like that, and everyone buys it, because hey, it’s Amy Winehouse.

I could be wrong though. Maybe she is just crazy. Crazy and crack don’t go so well together..

David Duchovny is Out of Rehab

Source: www.celebritysmackblog.com

David Duchovny and wife Téa Leoni were spotted at the Czech Street Festival 2008 in NYC Saturday looking rather chummy.

Téa is even smiling! Maybe it’s because she just took a big chomp out of a sandwich that has David’s nuts in it..

David Duchovny Enters Rehab for Sex Addiction

Source: www.celebritysmackblog.com

David Duchovny has voluntarily entered rehab for a sexual addiction.

Duchovny, 48, said in a statement,

“I have voluntarily entered a facility for the treatment of sex addiction. I ask for respect and privacy for my wife and children as we deal with this situation as a family.”

The X-Files star married Téa Leoni in 1997 and the couple have two children, daughter Madelaine West, 9, and son Kyd, 6.

You have to wonder what prompted this!  I have a hunch Mr. Duchovny indulged in a little forbidden poon and got caught.  Téa, who is absolutely gorgeous, probably gave him the ultimatum – rehab or I’m leaving.

She has since canceled her appearance at the Toronto International Film Festival where she was set to promote her new film, Ghost Town.

Time will tell if this couple will be able to survive this very sensitive, yet very public, issue.

Celebrity Quote of the Day – Brigitte Nielsen

Source: www.celebritysmackblog.com

“I believe my last marriage turned me into an alcoholic. I was so miserable and stayed (in the relationship) because of the kids, but in the end it was awful for them because we were arguing. Six or seven years, I hid the bottles. When you’re that depressed you can’t even do it (stop drinking) for your kids – that’s the most disgusting thing.

- Brigitte Nielsen says an unhappy marriage to her fourth husband (who she divorced in 2005) was the cause of her alcoholism. She is now happily married to husband number five.

Shia LaBeouf Headed for Rehab?

Source: www.celebritysmackblog.com

shia-806

Shia LaBeouf may be headed to rehab soon, an effort to reduce or beat his drunk driving charges.

LaBeouf, 22, crushed his hand in the accident and required surgery. He was released from the hospital last weekend and has been told he should do the rehab thing in order to help his case.  But not because he is a drunk or anything..

He is due in court later this month.

Artie Lange Finally Checks in to Rehab

Source: www.celebritysmackblog.com

artie

Artie Lange, sidekick on the Howard Stern Show, has checked into intensive outpatient rehab for substance abuse.

Lange, 40, has struggled with narcotic addiction for years and has been to rehab many times before.

It seems he’s back to his old ways.

Last April he walked off the air after having an physical altercation with an assistant and it was thought he may have been using again.

Artie has been very open about his drug use, telling listeners story after story about being drunk to snorting cocaine and heroin.

I hope the guy gets clean, because yeah, he’s funny. But he’s also a fat f***ing loser. His mom still cleans his apartment and brings him food..

He’s just lucky enough to have Howard there to deal with his shit, because not many other employers would put up with him. He’ll eventually end up a nobody, a washed up old comic. Then maybe he’ll realize how good he had it.

Eva Mendes Gets Grilled About Substance Abuse

Source: www.celebritysmackblog.com

Eva Mendes is in the upcoming issue of Interview magazine and the interviewer brought up substance abuse, in a sometimes tasteless manner.

Eva was treated at Utah’s Cirque Lodge rehabilitation center earlier this year.

David Colman: Now let’s talk about substance abuse. My favorite topic.

Eva Mendes: Great.

DC: First of all, what is it with actors and substance abuse?

EM: I don’t know. I’m not a spokesperson for any kind of substance-abuse organization.

DC: They’re going to have to change the name of it to “Alcoholics Unanimous.”

EM: [silence]

DC: I’m sorry, that’s a bad joke.

EM:
I’m not making jokes, because people die from this stuff. So, honestly, I think it’s a bit tacky that you made a joke. I’ve got to be honest.

DC: You’re angry. Listen . . .

EM: I’m not angry. People have died, and I’ve lost friends too–even recently. So I can be a little sensitive on the subject.

DC: Look, I haven’t had a drink in 11 years. I’m just trying to be light-hearted about it, because it’s an awkward topic.

EM: I’m not angry. But because celebrities’ lives are so visible, I think it makes it look lighter than it is. I have a really good sense of humor, I’m just very sensitive. The other day I was reading an article. I don’t even remember who the actress was, but she’s been around for a long time. She said something like, “I’m proud that I’ve had a whole career without making it to rehab.” I thought, That’s such a negative twist on it. I’m proud of people who have the determination and the fearlessness to actually go and face their demons and get better. This is a life or death situation. Again, I’m not a spokesperson for this, but it’s just that I want to support people for their decisions when they do go in and get help.

DC: You might think it’s a new problem, but it’s probably only because people are quicker to say, “Okay, I’m going to rehab. Let’s get it over with.”

EM:
It’s because everybody is so highly visible now. We see everything. We see what celebrities buy at the supermarket. It’s ridiculous. It’s that visibility. I’m confused by this whole celebrity-obsessed culture. It’s really weird.

DC: Again, I wasn’t trying to be . . . Well, I was trying to be flip, but not trying to be dismissive. I do take it very seriously myself. You could just say, “I don’t want to talk about that.” Which is fine.

EM: I’ve given you a more interesting answer, I hope, than to just say, “I don’t want to talk about it.” [laughs] There are so many lies out there regarding my recent trip to Cirque Lodge. But I don’t care what people think. I just don’t care. So I will neither confirm nor deny. I think now we just know way too much about our celebrities. It’s not that interesting when you know that much about people. I have no ego about me. It’s just better for you not to know, because it really
does make me a better actor at the end of the day. You’re not going into the movie with all
these specifics about me.

DC: I don’t know what I would do if all my business was out there . . .

EM: You know what? You wouldn’t feel that bad, because so much of it is not true. Actually, the media has been pretty nice to me. They’ve really trashed some people, so I’m actually thankful that it didn’t get too crazy. But for all the stuff that came out a few months ago about substance abuse, there were so many wrong stories. I was so happy about that, because it’s when they get the real scoop that would make me really nervous. It’s a relief, in a way. You want it to be a lie, because when it’s true, that’s when I’d be like, “Oh, my God!” It’s time to rethink who’s in your circle, because stuff got out.
