As I was drinking my coffee this morning, searching through feeds and headlines, one particular one caught my attention.

Gossip website TMZ ’s story: “K-Fed’s Trashy Pad — Bad for Brit’s Kids?”

Ooh, I thought. This could be good! So I clicked.

I expected beer bottles everywhere, roaches (and I’m not talking about the bug), mold & mildew, holes in the walls, broken windows and maybe a few used condoms somewhere in the mix. But there was none of that.

Instead, there was cigarette butts all over outside, a few broken tiles, a partially ripped window screen, a bird’s nest on an outdoor light, and missing smoke detectors. Ok, so I can understand the need for the smoke detectors, but c’mon, this is hardly a trashed rental home as TMZ was eluding to. Hell, TMZ made it sound like CPS should be hauling their ass over there to rescue the children! Not the case. News is slow this week, so it seems like TMZ is pulling rubbish out of their backsides. Making a mountain from a molehill.

Besides Momma Britney isn’t exactly the cleanest person in the world either. Didn’t her puppy poop on a designer gown she was wearing for a photo shoot? Rumors throughout the years have also suggested that her dogs always poop in her house. If I remember correctly, one of her dogs always picked Kevin’s closet to poop in while the couple were still married.

So, messy and piggish, yes, but should the kids be taken from K-Fed? Absolutely not. TMZ, are just being their normal, drama queen selves..

Kevin Federline will be appearing on the VH1 reality show, Celebrity Fit Club next season.

All those reality show rumors were correct.

Britney Spears’ ex-husband will be attempting to shed the weight he has gained in the past year (which is quite a bit) on the show that helps celebrities lose weight and teaches healthy lifestyles. Federline was seen arriving to the set of the show earlier today.

I am so going to watch this show. What’s more fun than watching a fat K-Fed sweating and actually working for something?

Since he and Britney divorced back in 2006, Kevin has been steadily packing on the pounds.

Here he is pictured at a celebrity golf event on Monday with quite a paunch! Witnesses say Kevin and girlfriend Victoria Prince hung out for a bit drinking Screwdrivers and smoking ciggies.

Kevin Federline was doomed to be picked apart once he hooked up with the most famous pop star in the world.

The wife-beaters, smoking weed while on set, his horrible single, “Popozao,” he made it easy, almost second nature, to make him the butt of a joke.

Awhh, the good ol’ days…before there were 10 million freaking gossip blogs out there. *sigh*

But a few years have gone by and well, K-Fed doesn’t seem like such a douche anymore.

He’s on the cover of this week’s People magazine with the age-old tabloid headline, “My Side of the Story”. Inside he tells of his marriage to Britney, how it ended and raising two children together.

Do you remember when you first met Britney?

I met her at a club in Hollywood, Joseph’s. Our eyes met and that was it. We just hit it off right away. I learned real fast how much of a whirlwind the press and everything was.

What are your happiest memories of the marriage?

Well, getting married. I never thought that I would get married but it wound up happening. That was a really, really, happy, exciting moment. I pretty much realized that I was giving my life to her, and I was doing it without question.

What went wrong?

It’s hard enough to be in a marriage, and then have a kid, then kids, it changes everything. For me, I’d become more concerned with my children. Not that I ignored Britney, but my kids are always most important … I mean, we were having complications. I didn’t give her an ultimatum, but I was trying to work stuff out with her, and she didn’t even talk to me or anything and went behind my back and filed [for divorce]. [I was] completely blindsided.

A lot of people assumed you fought for custody of the kids because of money.

My first question to [my lawyer] was, “Am I ever going to be able to see my children?” I told him that I would spend every last dime that I had to make sure that my children are okay. That’s all that mattered. I didn’t know how much power Britney had. That really scared me.

How did you react in January when Britney locked herself in the bathroom with Jayden and was later taken to the hospital on a gurney?

That whole night is a blur. You want to talk about one of my lowest points of depression, that was probably one of them. I was very, very worried for her ’cause I care about her. That’s the mother of my children. Just because I’m not in love with her doesn’t mean that I don’t love her. I’m definitely rooting for her. There’s nothing more that I want than for her to be in the best health and doing what she loves to do.

Are things getting better?

Oh, man, it’s totally turning around. It works out that [the kids] get to see her. There’s structure over there, there’s structure at my house. We’re trying to keep the same type of schedule. It doesn’t have to be completely perfect, but the foundation is there.

In the upcoming documentary about Britney Spears, For the Record, Britney boldly states that she married ex-husband Kevin Federline for the wrong reasons.

She confesses,

“I think I married for all the wrong reason. Instead of following my heart and, like, doing something that made me really happy. I just did it because, for just, like, the idea of everything.”

For the Record airs on MTV on November 30th.

It’s been a really long year for Britney Spears and Kevin Federline.

Finally, after battling for nearly two years for custody of their sons, Sean Preston 2½, and Jayden James 1½, the ex-couple have come to an agreement.

Federline will retain sole custody and Britney will keep her current agreement which allows for two days and one over-night per week.

In a sense it’s a little bit of a shock because Britney has really made an effort to stay out of the limelight and to get well. On the other hand, I think it is a brilliant decision because her mental health and her well being are two things that she needs to work on constantly, and how can you take care of your children if you can’t take care of yourself? I don’t think Britney’s quite there yet – but hopefully she will be, in time.

Brit’s visitation can be amended by a judge – which is what will most likely happen eventually as long as Britney stays on track.

People magazine spoke with a family attorney (who was not involved in this case) who gave her opinion on the future of this case. She said, “Until the kids turn 18, we can expect in years to come that Britney and Kevin will be back in court. Britney will have a better chance of winning more custody once she regains her health. This is just the end of Round One.”

Kevin Federline has been announced as the “Father of the Year” thanks to a Las Vegas Club.

Federline nabbed a Father of the Year Award at club Prive, while Spears chilled with her dad Jamie and an assistant at the Cinevegas party at Palms Place.

“I’m surprised,” Federline said when asked how it felt to win the title.

Federline, 30, hit up the club with a group of male pals — including divorce attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan — just before 1 a.m. Saturday morning.

Prive presented Federline his Father of the Year trophy “someplace quiet” at the dad-of-four’s request, so clubgoers didn’t see the ceremony, according to a source.

How is a Father of the Year award given to you from a club worth anything?  Clubs are where faters go to get away and stare at young hot women.  I’m pretty sure the old creepy guy at the club is a father.  In fact, maybe that’s how Kevin Federline won.  He was consistently the creepy old guy at the club.  If that’s the case then he deserves it.  t’s tough to be THAT much of a scumbag week after week.

• Britney Spears and ex-husband Kevin Federline were both in Las Vegas this weekend, however, their “people” made sure they didn’t bump into one another. While Britney spent the entire weekend in Sin City with her father celebrating Father’s Day, Federline left town on Saturday so he could spend the holiday with the boys. Britney and dad Jamie went to the Cinevegas party at the Palms Place and retired early. K-Fed and his entourage arrived at Prive at 1am where he was also honored as “Father of the Year”. His crew partied until after 3am.

• Britain’s Princess Eugenie, 18, has been reprimanded by her school after being caught running around naked on her college campus with group of girls. Reports suggest the girls had been drinking and were pulling an end of the the year prank. A staff member awoke to the girls giggling and screaming and found them dancing around outside without any clothes on. No boys were present and they don’t believe any drugs were involved. Princess Eugenie is the daughter of Prince Andrew, Duke of York, and Sarah Ferguson and is sixth in line to the British throne.

• Kid Rock, 37, was rushed to the hospital in Nottingham, England minutes before going on stage Friday. Reports say he was suffering from stomach cramps and dehydration. Rock was due to hit the stage at the Download Festival at 3:30 pm but an announcement over the PA system said, “We’ve had the curse of Download. Kid Rock is not very well, we’ve had to rush him to hospital in Nottingham. He apologizes to his fans.” Judas Priest and Disturbed played longer shows in his place. Rock had been partying late the night before at Central London’s Whisky Mist nightclub.

• Kat Von D’s record for the most tattoos done in a 24-hour period has been broken by Oliver Peck. Peck, 36, a tattoo artist for and co-owner of Elm Street Tattoo in Dallas, Texas performed 415 tattoos from midnight Thursday to midnight Friday the 13th.
  “It’s an adrenaline rush,” he said.
  Peck tattooed the number 13 on about every body part imaginable, even some rears.
  He was awarded the honor by Guinness adjudicator Danny Girton Jr., and will be mentioned in the Guinness Book of Records.

• Snoop Dogg’s wife, Shante Broadus, was arrested at 12:15 AM PT Saturday morning in Fullerton, California for driving under the influence. She was released with a citation. Snoop and Shante were married in 1997 and have three children. They have been together since high school.

Britney Spears met up with ex-husband Kevin Federline in court yesterday for her first custody hearing in over three months. This one went decidedly better than the last one, in that she didn’t show up five hours late and talking in a British accent. TMZ says

Brit will get three days of supervised visitation per week… [and] she will also have overnight visitation within a month. The goal is to ramp it up over the next few months so that Brit gets 50/50 custody [again].

Good for her. It looks like she’s finally learned her lesson. Like she said on the way out of the courthouse, “Making the decision to have a child – it’s momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking outside your body.” No, wait — that’s not right… I think it was Elizabeth Stone who said that. My mistake. Britney actually said, “Dammit, SP, I dun tole ya ta quit touchin’ Mama’s smokes with them grubby little fingers a yers. I sed QUIT!” Ah, the mother-child bond! It brings a tear to the eye.

Britney Spears and Kevin Federline headed back to the courtroom today and it turned out to be a good day for Britney.

Ms. Spears was granted three days a week with the boys, a step in the right direction for Britney, who is trying to get back equal custody with her children.

Federline’s attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan said during a press conference that the boys’ overnight stays will be “phased in”.

“The court made orders today, they were orders that the parties were able to mostly agree to. It represents a a cautious step moving forward.”

Kaplan added that everyone is pleased at the progress of this case, and that of Britney. He also stated that the children are doing “great”.

Britney’s parents released a statement saying they are “pleased with Britney’s progress” and “very appreciative” that the judge is considering the fact that she has shown improvement in recent months.

Both Kevin and Britney are expected back in court on July 15th.

Britney Spears has reportedly been filming herself for the past six months in the hopes that the footage will help the public understand “what she’s been through” in the last half year. Or maybe make her look even more batshit insane than already does. Can’t hurt, right? A source told Britain’s Daily Mirror

“Justin Timberlake and her ex-husband Kevin Federline are terrified the material will end up on the internet. Or, even worse, Britney will agree to another MTV documentary and release some of the footage through official channels.”

The source [added]: “Although some of the footage is really sad to watch, especially the parts where she is close to breakdown – others are dynamite. If she does decide to go public with the footage, it will be explosive.”

Unfortunately, pairing the name “Britney Spears” with the word “explosive” might be a mistake. Before 2003, the words “Britney Spears” and “explosive” might have meant “super sexy ratings lock,” but since her divorce from Federline, the only thing that comes to mind is “American Standard Champion” and “shopping bag fulll of laxatives.” Marketing execs might want to consider a less forcefully descriptive adjective if they decide to go public with the footage.
