Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi Marry!

Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi were married Saturday in a small ceremony at their home.
Approximately 20 people attended the wedding, including the women’s mothers, Degeneres’ mom, Betty, and di Rossi’s mom, Margaret, who flew in from Australia for the big event.
Ellen, 50, and Portia, 35, have been together since December 2004 and have been planning the wedding for months.
Both women wore Zac Posen, with Portia in a Cinderella-like pink dress and Ellen in white pants, vest and button-up shirt.
Ellen described Portia last year saying,
“She’s taught me lessons about myself, and I feel like I’ve taught her. We’ve both changed and grown, and we just feel like, ‘Oh, okay, this is completion.’â€?
Even back in 2005 she felt that she and Portia would be together forever.
“I never would have thought my life would have turned out this way. To have money. Or to have a gorgeous girlfriend. I just feel so lucky with everything in my life right now.â€?
That same year Portia told the Advocate,
“My feelings for Ellen overrode all of my fear about being out as a lesbian. That had never happened to me in my life, where I saw somebody and [experienced] all of those things you hear about in songs and read about in poetry. My knees were weak.â€?

Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi are engaged and have reportedly set a date to be married.
Ellen gave Portia a beautiful ring with pink diamonds. Ellen told reporters at Friday night’s 35th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood, “Yes, we have set a wedding date. Portia has a ring. It’s a Neil Lane ring.”
Although she didn’t reveal the date she did hint that the guest list is getting long and that the planning was a little stressful. However, both women are thrilled and excited to become each other’s spouse.

In the wake of the California Supreme Court overturning the state’s ban on gay marriage, talk show host Ellen DeGeneres has declared her intentions to wed longtime girlfriend Portia de Rossi. TMZ reports
A spy in the audience of this afternoon’s taping of the “Ellen DeGeneres Show” tells us that after Ellen mentioned [yesterday’s California Supreme Court ruling], she surprised everyone and announced that she was going to tie the knot with actress Portia de Rossi. Portia was in the crowd and after she made the announcement, the studio audience went wild, giving the two a huge standing O. The show will air tomorrow.
With the news of this ruling, Home Depot can now expect to dethrone Pottery Barn as the largest wedding registry in the state of California. Lesbians love power tools!

Are one of the most famous lesbian couple’s headed for splitsville? Say it isn’t so!
Star magazine is reporting that Ellen Degeneres and Portia de Rossi are on the rocks. And Ellen’s breakdown over the puppy last week? It stemmed from her problems at home.
According to multiple sources, [Ellen’s] really in pain because her three-year romance with actress Portia de Rossi is all but over. “Ellen would never have broken down like that on TV if things were right in her home life,” one source tells Star.
“Portia has been telling Ellen she’s very unhappy at home,” says a second source. ”When it comes down to it, she wants to be with someone younger and hotter. She wants out, but Ellen has been begging her to stay. Portia is really everything in this world to her.”
I hope this rumor isn’t true. I love these two together. I’m betting their former girlfriend’s are quietly chuckling though.
After VH1’s Big in ‘04 awards show Ellen and Portia hooked up, quite steamily I might add, and both dumped their lovers the next day so they could be together.

It appears that daytime talk show host Ellen Degeneres has a long-standing history of adopting puppies and then giving them away. According to Page Six
Kerri Randles says she gave DeGeneres a male mutt named Stormy two years ago, only to find out less than two months later that fickle Ellen had re-gifted him to a member of her staff.”She may have had it for much less time than that. I only say two months because that’s when I called to check on the dog and found out she no longer had it,” Randles said. “I was totally shocked. I thought she was out of her mind.” DeGeneres may have passed along several other dogs over the years. Howard Stern said on his Sirius show that he’d heard she had done this nine times before.
But wait — there’s more!
Randles said DeGeneres seemed a perfect pet owner at first, but she quickly discovered the daytime TV hostess was “neurotic and crazy.” When Randles took Stormy to NBC studios to meet DeGeneres, she was “drilled” for four hours by the star, her assistants and the crew. DeGeneres finally decided to keep the dog for a few nights to see if he’d fit into her home. She suggested that Randles take the dressing room next door to “tell the dog privately that she’d be going home with Ellen.” “I told her I’d already had a talk with the dog. She didn’t get my jokes,” said Randles.
The dog didn’t get her jokes, or Ellen? Because, obviously, everyone knows dogs only like knock-knock jokes. Irony and sarcasm really aren’t their thing. Just like how lesbians only like wiener jokes and Asians only like jokes where you lisp and make the buck-teeth face. One thing they can all agree on? Leaving a big dump in the middle of the floor is freakin’ hysterical. I find lowest common denominator is pretty much the key to all successful comedy. Whoopie cushions and pies in the face are good, too, but I’m not really a prop comic per se. I’m more of a comedic purist. I’ll do my own farts, thank you very much! It’s kind of an integrity thing.
