Britney Spears’s restraining order against one-time pal Sam Lutfi may have been temporary, but their friendship is permanently over.

The pop star’s court-appointed attorney, Samuel D. Ingham III, told the Associated Press that he will not seek to extend the restraining order in court on Thursday – because Spears has cut all ties with Lutfi anyway.

“Britney has made clear to everyone,” Ingham said, “that she does not want to be further harassed or contacted in any way by Osama ‘Sam’ Lutfi, now or at anytime in the future.”

Lutfi has been out of Spears’s life since February, when her father, Jamie, was granted legal control of her affairs as temporary conservator. (At the time, Britney’s mother, Lynne, accused Lutfi of drugging the singer.)

Lutfi, it seems, will abide by the Spears family’s wishes. He said in his own statement to the AP, “Mr. Lutfi and Mr. Spears have mutually agreed in private that no hearing or order is necessary at this time.”

Ingham added that once Britney regains control of her life, she will continue to keep Lutfi out of it.

I am still stunned that Sam is as shady as he is!! Isn’t it amazing? You’re working for a successful, wealthy, world icon and you mistreat her? Thank god Brit Brit’s papa stepped in to save his daughter. Ever since Papa Spears showed up, things have been getting so much better for Britney. Thankfully.

Britney Spears took off for Cabo San Lucas, Mexico for a little relaxation time after giving full custody of her boys to ex Kevin Federline.

Britney forgot her cares as she flirted around the pool with an unknown male this weekend. The two spent some quality time together, swimming, dancing and laughing.

She was all smiles and looked great in her white bikini.

Britney is in Cabo with a group of friends, including longtime friend George Maloof, owner of the Palms in Vegas.

The pop princess was recently nominated at the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards for Best Female Video for Piece of Me.

Sad but true story.

Britney Spears‘ mother, Lynne, killed a 12-year-old child in an accident when she was just 20-years-old.

Anthony Winters was killed after Lynne rounded a corner in her hometown of Kentwood, Louisiana striking the boy who was riding a bike with friends in the street. There was oncoming traffic and Lynne could not stop her car in time. She had been on her way to the hospital, taking her brother there for an injury.

Spears’ publicist, Louise Taylor, confirmed the National Enquirer article saying that Lynne is understandably still haunted by the incident and has tried to keep the tragedy out of the papers.

She added, “The boy died at the hospital as a result of his injuries. Lynne, to this day, is grieved by the Winters’ loss of their son.”

It’s been a really long year for Britney Spears and Kevin Federline.

Finally, after battling for nearly two years for custody of their sons, Sean Preston 2½, and Jayden James 1½, the ex-couple have come to an agreement.

Federline will retain sole custody and Britney will keep her current agreement which allows for two days and one over-night per week.

In a sense it’s a little bit of a shock because Britney has really made an effort to stay out of the limelight and to get well. On the other hand, I think it is a brilliant decision because her mental health and her well being are two things that she needs to work on constantly, and how can you take care of your children if you can’t take care of yourself? I don’t think Britney’s quite there yet - but hopefully she will be, in time.

Brit’s visitation can be amended by a judge - which is what will most likely happen eventually as long as Britney stays on track.

People magazine spoke with a family attorney (who was not involved in this case) who gave her opinion on the future of this case. She said, “Until the kids turn 18, we can expect in years to come that Britney and Kevin will be back in court. Britney will have a better chance of winning more custody once she regains her health. This is just the end of Round One.”

Britney Spears started work on her new video segment that will appear at the beginning of every show in Madonna’s upcoming Sticky & Sweet tour.

Shooting for the short movie started yesterday in WeHo where Britney arrived at about 9am and remained for a most of the day. Sources say she was very professional and courteous.

The film itself sounds pretty whacked - but that’s Britney, I guess. It’s described as Britney entering an elevator wearing a gray hoodie that hides most of her face. She is obviously anxious and fidgety. The elevator goes up and so does Britney’s anxiety level. She begins pacing frantically. Her mania continues to build until she is violently kicking and hitting the walls. Then she pulls her hoodie down and screams into the camera… can you guess …?

“It’s Britney, bitch.”

Is that it?

Oooh…ahhh!

Whatever. Don’t you think Britney would want to move on from that f*cked up time in her life? Sounds like they have her bouncing off of rubber walls!

Britney Spears is set to make an appearance during Madonna’s Sticky & Sweet tour.

Although the pop princess won’t actually be performing onstage with Madge, she will be taping a segment that will be shown during Madonna’s performances.

Madonna’s spokesperson, Liz Rosenberg, said, “Britney is going to film something for Madonna’s show in the next week or so.” She adds that Britney has not filmed anything yet nor does she know where it will be filmed. The tour starts in Wales next month.

After a bit of a lull in Britney Spears news, the pop princess is once again on the scene.

Buzz about Britney’s latest work-in-progress is hitting the internet and Grammy winning producer Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins says he’s working with her on some “very dancey, really up-tempo, aggressive, catchy, and hook friendly” tunes.

He adds, “I’m trying some new things. I’ve always worked with Britney and I love working with her. I’m try to reinvent her and reinvent myself with her project.”

He must be a gambling man.

Jerkins last worked with Britney on the tracks “Overprotected” and “I Love Rock ‘n’ Roll” from her self titled album back in 2001.

The producer has no qualms about working with Brit. He says, “She’s always professional.”

Producer Sean Garrett who is also set to work with Spears said, “I know she’s been doing a lot better. You just want to give her the opportunity to get things back together. It’s about her time again.”

Britney finally got to spend a night with her two boys, Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1, on Saturday night. It was the first overnight visit with her children in six months.

Unfortunately the boys only stayed until Sunday, and after they were picked up Britney became depressed.

A source told Us Weekly, “Britney was very upset after the kids left. She now does not know when she will get them next for an overnight. She complains it could be next week, or it could be three months.”

Hopefully for her sake it will be soon. It seems as though she really has given it an effort. She’s not driving around aimlessly with the kids anymore - hopping from gas station bathroom to gas station bathroom flashing her crotch everywhere in between. Maybe her hairy rear, but not her cooter.

Kevin Federline is still seeking sole custody of the kids and wants Britney to stick to the current visitation terms.

The couple’s custody trial is set to begin August 25th.

According to court documents, Britney is eager to move from her paparazzi infested neighborhood in Los Angeles to a quieter, slower pace of life in Louisiana.

She desires a place of “a lower density, more quiet and less trafficked neighborhood . . more accessible to parks and recreation areas,” for her boys.

The documents states that the sale of her home would be in “the best interest of [Spears], her Estate and her minor children.”

Earlier this month she was granted permission to sell her home. Her mother told the courts that Brit “intends to return to Louisiana.”

Jamie Lynn Spears delivered her baby naturally and not by c-section as reported through some sources.

The 17-year old mother delivered Maddie Briann Aldridge naturally and without any problems.

The baby girl was born at 9:33am and weighed 7 lbs. 11 oz. Mother and child are said to be resting comfortably (comfortable, my ass!) and are surrounded by family.

Cousin Alli Sims thinks that Jamie Lynn will be a fabulous mother. “I’m sure the baby’s beautiful, and I’m so glad everybody’s healthy and doing well. I just wish them all the happiness in the world. I know they’re going to have so much fun.”

Jamie Lynn Spears popped out her little Cheeto eatin’ monkey today.

Maddie Briann was born at approximately 9:30am in a Mississippi hospital.

Big sister Britney, father Jamie and brother Bryan all flew into town yesterday to be there when the child was born. Mom Lynne has been with Jamie for sometime, helping her prepare for the baby.

A source says, “Just the family was there. Everyone is healthy and happy.”
