I really get a kick out of Britney Spears’ new website, BritneySpears.com.

The comments left by obsessive fans are pretty amusing as well. Lots of CAPS LOCKS and lots of exclamation points!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Of course the haters leave their love on the site too.

It’s kind of hard to get your point across when your grammar is equivalent to a 4-year-old’s, don’t you think?

Anyhow, Britney and her team posted pumpkin patch pics, which really are adorable. As an extra bonus, Team Brit snapped photos of the desperate paparazzi that followed her and her boys on the outing.

The men hang over the barriers, hoping to get a picture of the superstar. One even climbs a tree.

I think it’s great that Britney posts her own photos on her site, because when you think about it, it takes away from those bottom feeders who make money by trying to cram their cameras up Britney’s skirts. So much for exclusive, Britney already posted the pics on her own site. Heh. Good thinking..

And really, who wouldn’t rather visit Britney’s website than that of a slimy paparazzi agency?

Count me in.

Britney Spears’ driving without a license traffic case has been dismissed after the judge declared a mistrial.

The case stems from a fender bender in August 2007 in which it was discovered that the star was driving without a valid California license at the time.

The jury was deadlocked 10-2, in favor of Spears’ innocence. It took three days for the jury to deliberate.

Jamie Spears, her father, testified that his daughter was innocent of the charges because she had a valid license in her home state of Louisiana at the time and that she considers Louisiana her permanent residence.

After today’s trial, Britney’s lawyer, Michael Flanagan, said,

“Today’s outcome shows my client did nothing wrong. I consider this a victory. Britney was vindicated in that she took on a system that attempted to make an example of her celebrity.”

Prosecutor Michael Amerian says there are no plans for a retrial. “I don’t think it’s appropriate to ask for one,” he said in court. Outside the courtroom he later stated,

“It just goes to show you how difficult it is to convict a celebrity in Los Angeles.

At a press conference after the decision, jury foreman Gary Moy, 45, a communications analyst (who voted guilty), said, “We felt deadlocked from the beginning, there were lots of questions about lack of evidence, whether Spears had a Louisiana license or not, what the definition of residency was. We felt we were never given all the facts in the case. Some jurors felt their time was wasted.”

He added that people have a tendency to “identify with celebrities, and I feel some of the jurors inserted their personal feelings.”

On December 2nd, the same day her new album, Circus, drops, pop princess Britney Spears will perform on the ABC morning show, Good Morning America.

She’ll be lip-synching, I’m sure.

The show will take place in NYC’s Bryant Park, where Britney will be promoting the new album, and her hit single, “Womanizer.”

ABC won out after a heated battle with NBC execs, who are said to be “fuming” about not getting Britney on The Today Show.

Yesterday I told you about Britney Spears’ new, revamped website where she will be reaching out to fans by posting music, photos and videos of herself.

Here is Britney’s first video blog. She looks like she actually put some effort into her appearance before shooting the video (meaning she piled on a sh*tload of makeup), and it sounds like she is taking in a higher pitched voice than normal. So cutesy-like.

Despite the Britney Spears hairy armpit pictures earlier, the pop princess is still doing everything in her power to end this year with a bang.

From being at the top of the charts, to her new album’s release this December, Brit has showed no signs of slowing down.

So in order for her to be able to interact with fans, Spears’ website, BritneySpears.com, has been overhauled.

She says,

“I wanted to create a place where I could connect with y’all and share what’s really going on in my life. I’ll be sharing videos, stories, music, photos, and lots of other cool stuff.”
