John Edward’s Baby Mama Drama

Source: www.derekhail.com

With all the celebrities celebrating the creation of life, you should never forget the ones that scorn it. John Edwards, democratic presidential candidate of the past, comes forward with having an affair, but not about planting a successful seed.

Edwards tells ABC News that he lied repeatedly about the affair with a 42-year-old woman but says that he didn’t love her. He says he has not taken a paternity test but knows he isn’t the father because of the timing of the affair and the birth.

This sounds like a job for Maury Povich! There is nothing more savory than witnessing the moment that Povich opens that freaking envelope and tells Edwards “You are not the father.” Oh to see that old man jump out of his seat and start gyrating on the stage to the chant of “I told you so!” Before suddenly cartwheeling off the stage.

Latina Magazine’s Eva Longoria Interview

Source: www.celebritysmackblog.com

eva-longoria-808

Eva Longoria Parker opens up to Latina.com about everything from her childhood to her marriage to Tony Parker.

Surprisingly enough, she sounds like a pretty down to earth person - which wasn’t what I expected..

On being a wife:

“I’m a 1950s housewife. I love baking. I love sewing. Being home with Tony. My mother was like that. Always took care of her husband. I always admired and wanted to do that.”

On being constantly followed by the paparazzi:

It’s invasive and it sucks at times. I don’t alter my plans or my life around it. I’m not going to not go on a boat trip because paparazzi may or may not be watching. I’m not going to not wear something because paparazzi will turn it into I’m pregnant.

On her evolving taste in music:

It’s funny, but I didn’t even know hip-hop existed before Tony. I love hip hop now. Only because of Tony. I was from Texas. I listened to country. I’m a big fan of the Eighties and Madonna. I was a headbanger. Megadeath, Killing is Our Business…and Business is Good. That was my first album. Metallica was the first concert that I ever went to. Oh! And I was a huge Menudo fan.

On her strict upbringing in San Antonio:

We weren’t allowed to eat out. My dad refused to let us eat at restaurants or fast food. Our big treat was Dominoes pizza. We would sneak out and go get pizza.

On how winning a beauty pageant changed her life:

I love pageants. In Texas, it’s like the culture. If you’re a woman, you have to do pageants. If you’re a boy, you have to be a football player. In my pageant package, I won a trip to Hollywood to compete in a talent competition. And I said, I’m going to go. It would be fun to go for a week to Hollywood. So I came, and I never went home. I fell in love with L.A. I happened to become an actor and it was really all so fast. I didn’t even go home to pack. I had my mom send my clothes. I never went back.

On her love for food:

I’ve always been a foodie. And especially when I met Tony because he’s French, he’s a big wine guy. We’ve really gotten into wine.

On cooking for Tony:

I make everything. His favorite dish is lemon pepper chicken with a lemon pasta sauce that I make. He could eat that everyday. I’m a big cook.

On getting tattoos:

I would love more, but because I’m acting I have to keep them covered. I have my wedding date in Roman numerals on the inside of my wrist. I have a star, pisces, a cross on my back, a nine on my neck, and a rose on my back as well.

On her summer nuptuals to Tony Parker last July:

The wedding was absolutely magical. I wish I could have a wedding every year.

On her first job, at Wendy’s:

I worked there for six years! It was my high school job. I loved it. And I still love them. They are an amazing organization. I still keep in touch with my manager from when I was 14. They are just great to me. I wanted to have a quinceanara, so I went to Wendy’s to work to pay for my own quinceanara. I stayed. I paid for my cheerleading and everything through that. It was like whatever you want to do outside of school, you have to pay for it. I never had a car because I was always trying to save.

On inheriting her parents’ work ethic:

They were like, if you want something you work for it. Nothing’s ever been handed to anyone in my family. My parents are the hardest working people that I never knew. They are retired now. Latinos are hard workers.

briefs

I am doing a ‘briefs’ post today because, damn! News is bor-ring and slow these past couple of days.

Here are a bunch of stories that I could care less about but should probably include here because I guess they’re relevant..

  • clay-aClay Aiken is a daddy. His son, Parker Foster Aiken, was born at 8:08 A.M. this morning in North Carolina.
The mother is Clay’s best friend, Jaymes Foster, a producer who has worked on some of his albums. The two met while Clay was on American Idol.
Their baby boy is said to be smiling already and has dark hair.
  • jen-benJennifer Garner and Ben Affleck bought a super expensive house. With a second baby on the way I guess the couple’s old, shabby mansion wouldn’t do. So they have upgraded to a $16 million dollar home in the Brentwood area. The home supposedly sits on an acre and has seven bedrooms and bathrooms! It also has six fireplaces and a three-car garage. Ha! I have a four car garage, bitches! Heh.
  • dad-blonskyNikki Blonsky’s dad, Carl, will remain in jail in the Bahamas until August 19th. The judge in Providenciales Magistrates’ Court just ruled that he will have to wait until then for bail. Carl tried to convince the courts that he needed to head back to the states due to a kidney problem but the judge wasn’t hearing it. Carl’s victim, model Bianca Golden’s mother Eleine, is still hospitalized in Miami. Damn, he must have really beat the hell out of her. If that’s the case, his old ass deserves to stay put. Period.

jewel-ty

  • Boring singer, Jewel, got married to her boyfriend of ten years, rodeo champion Ty Murray. The couple eloped in the Bahamas on Thursday night at The Cove Atlantis. Jewel’s publicist stated, “She wore a traditional wedding gown, while Ty wore his favorite blue jeans, white shirt and cowboy hat. The couple is very happy and look forward to enjoying their honeymoon.”

Joey Lawrence

Look closely - no, it’s not David Beckham, it’s Joey freaking Lawrence!

I haven’t seen this guy around in ages! And no, I don’t watch DWTS, so I haven’t seen him around in a long ass time.

I still have a hard time believing that Joey is Joey! He went all metrosexual on our asses awhile ago, but I still picture him with the mullet and all!

Dare I say he looks good - in a super gay sort of way?

Paul Newman Might Be Close to Dying

Source: www.celebritysmackblog.com

Paul Newman

Paul Newman, 83, has finished his chemotherapy treatment and has returned home where his loving wife, Joanne Woodward, and daughters will care for him.

Paul is reportedly happy to be out of the hospital and at home, which is where he wants to be when he dies.

A friend of the family says that Paul has been spending time getting things prepared for his passing. Paperwork and legal stuff - but he has also made sure to leave some things to his close friends, and his family is having a hard time with that apparently.

“He gave a prized car – a Ferrari with his racing number 82 on it – to a long-time pal. The sudden move angered his children. It’s especially hard for them to come to grips with what’s going on.”

The source adds that Newman has been told he only has weeks to live. Which might be true, being as he has terminal lung cancer. I’ve lost a family member to terminal cancer and it was not long after treatment that things got ugly. Honestly, I have pretty mixed feeling on chemo/radiation…but we won’t go there..

Newman has also been preparing one of his daughters to take over his salad dressing company.

Newman married his wife 50 years ago in 1958.

He has refused to comment on his condition.

Lil Kim in a Party to Remember

Source: www.derekhail.com

A killer comes forward yesterday after the discovery of a body is found on the roof of a club that hosted Lil Kim’s birthday Sunday night.

Syed Rahman, 24, admitted to bashing Ingrid Rivera, who had paid for entry to Kim’s party, over the head with a pipe early Monday morning, Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly said at a news conference Thursday. Her body wasn’t found until Wednesday afternoon.

I mean, it makes sense. Anyone who has ever attended one of Lil Kim’s parties knows that there has to be lots of booze, large breasted women, gold teeth, and the ritual pummeling of all people allowed for entry. If the chick couldn’t handle all of the above, then maybe she shouldn’t have came. Noobs.

Jamie Lynn Spears’ Wally World Adventure

Source: www.derekhail.com

Jamie Lynn Spears faced the light of day today and went cruising around with her suckling buddy Maddie Briann.

After a visit to the doctor’s office, the two popped by the local Wal-Mart — the same spot where Jamie Lynn celebrated her 17th birthday in April.

The group finished off the afternoon with lunch at the Spears’ family favorite, Nyla’s Burger Basket.

Give this girl her own infomercial! It’s hard to imagine that she had a baby and didn’t just steal one from her sister, what with her runs to Walmart for Ho-Hos and waffle fries from Burger Basket. Oh to be young and skanky again. So resilient and so full of life…

Quentin Tarantino: Come Join the Dark Side

Source: www.derekhail.com

The dynamic duo Britney Spears and Quentin Tarantino apparently was a bust/rumor, but that hasn’t stopped others from joining Tarantino’s dark army. Brad Pitt and B.J. Novak have plans to team up against Nazis.

The Office’s B.J. Novak is in talks for a role in Quentin Tarantino’s upcoming WWII movie Inglorious Bastards. Novak would play PFC Utivich, one of the soldiers in the director’s long-gestating film about a band of Jewish resisters in Vichy-era France. Brad Pitt is in talks to play the leader of the band of soldiers. Shooting is scheduled to start this fall and wrap in time for Cannes in May 2009.

You know, if it weren’t for Tarantino, I could possibly imagine a decent war movie here. Instead in my head, I get a series of explosions, Novak with about five cigars jammed up his mouth, and Brad Pitt cradled in the bosom of a serpent temptress. I’m not sure if I want to mention that the Nazi’s happen to be killer zombies from the future and Samuel L. Jackson plays black Jesus with an MK47.
